How to dismantle a die on a single-punch desktop tablet press

Hey! I finally find the Answer!

This article mainly introduces how to disassemble the die on a single-punch desktop automatic tablet press, other tablet presses (e.g. manual tablet presses) can also be used as a reference.

Removing the upper punch

Loosen the upper punch fastening nut, you can pull out the upper punch core rod, if it is tighter, use hand pliers to hold the upper die: loosen the middle die fixing screw, screw down the lower punch fixing screw, loosen the butterfly screw, punch the core rod to pull it out, but be careful not to damage the die.

Removing the middle die

Loosen the fixing screw of the middle die, screw down the fixing screw of the lower punch, loosen the butterfly screw and release the gear lever. Turn the adjusting gear to make the lower punch core rod rise about 10mm, gently turn the hand wheel so that the lower punch core rod will eject part of the middle die, and take out the middle die by hand, if the middle die is tight in the hole, do not turn the hand wheel hard to avoid damaging the machine and parts. In this case, it is necessary to remove the die table and then take out the die.

Removal of the lower punch

The lower punch fixing screw has been screwed down before, then turn the hand wheel to make the lower punch core rod rise to the highest position, you can pull out the lower punch core rod by hand. If the lower punch core bar is tightly fitted, it can be clamped out with hand pliers (be careful not to damage the die).

Adjusting the machine and completing the work

After dismantling the die, the adjusting gear must be turned so that the lower punch core rod is backed off by about 10mm and the handwheel is turned so that the lower punch core rod is raised to its highest position, with its top not higher than the bottom of the center die plate (this step should not be ignored to avoid accidents when the lower punch core rod is used again with the center die). Finally, screw in the lower punch fixing screw.

Conclusion

The process of dismantling the die is to dismantle the upper die, then the middle die, then the lower die, and finally to adjust the machine and finish the final work.
